Water spots are a car wash's most visible quality failure. A single pass through a tunnel wash can leave mineral deposits from calcium, magnesium, and silica that etch clear coat over time. The threshold for truly spot-free results is a product water TDS below 30 ppm — typically requiring reverse osmosis on any municipal feed above 150 ppm TDS.

Systems include pre-filtration to protect RO membranes from sediment and chlorine in municipal feed, plus permeate storage tanks sized to buffer peak rinse demand. Variable-frequency drives on high-pressure pumps reduce energy consumption during off-peak hours.

For self-serve bays and detail shops drawing from well sources, AMPAC also supplies iron removal, water softening, and pH correction ahead of the RO stage. All systems ship factory-tested with documented rejection rates and include NSF-certified membrane elements.
